Its founder spent 31 years serving in the British military, most of that time at the very tip of the spear.
Many military units have bespoke designed watches made for them by various well known watch brands. It became apparent that out of all these watch brands that were designing and selling watches into the military, not even one of them had a founder who had served in the military.
